Gloria and Bobbie Jennings

Gloria and Bobbie Jennings are twins who were the driving force and chief spokespersons against demolition of the CJ Peete, the public housing development where they lived. Alongside Diane Allen and other displaced residents, they occupied their apartments and invited others to join them before the Housing Authority threatened to revoke their rental assistance. As grandmothers living on fixed incomes, they decided to stop the occupation to protect their rental assistance.

Where are they now?

After over a year living outside of New Orleans, the twins are back in town and are living in Harmony Oaks, the new mixed-income community that replaced the CJ Peete.
